Phillip H. Choo, MD
In 2006, Dr. Choo joined the Pittsburgh Oculoplastic Associates, and sees patients at the Greensburg, Monroeville, and Shadyside offices.
Dr. Choo received his undergraduate degree from Columbia College and his medical degree from Columbia Medical School where he graduated with top honors. He was a resident at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia and was an oculoplastic fellow at the University of California in San Francisco. Afterwards, Dr. Choo became an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of California in Davis, where he was also the Director of Oculoplastic Surgery. Dr. Choo has taught numerous medical students and residents and has authored many research articles and book chapters. He has also given lectures in oculoplastic surgery both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Choo is board certified in ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Pittsburgh Ophthalmology Society. Dr. Choo has been named one of the Best Doctors in America since 2003, and has also been named a Best Doctor by Pittsburgh Magazine.
Dr. Choo lives with his wife, two children, and three dogs in Fox Chapel.
